Back to Work

Whew! Boy am I worn out! While I may have just got done doing a killer ab workout, that you can find below, that's not what I'm talking about.

P.S the workout is made by a guy I went to elementary school all the way through high school with! Check out his other videos too!
Anyways...last Wednesday was my first day as a substitute teacher! How exciting!? While I have to admit, my first two days I was so nervous it wasn't even funny, I love subbing for other teachers! My first day I was pretending to be an art teacher at a local elementary school. Growing up I always loved art, one of my paintings was even selected to be in a museum. That being said it was fun for me to be able to reminiscing about the "old" days. Oh, and did I mention there was a para in the room with me practically ALL day!? Which was perfect for my first time subbing!

The second day, Thursday, I was on my old elementary school stomping grounds! It was so cool to go back and see some of my old teachers as well as see how much had changed. Thursday was also Valentine's Day a.k.a there were parties! The day started a little rough, only because I was a floater sub and changed classes a few times. After I got settled in my final classroom it was smooth sailing. I had so much fun with the kids.

Today was another interesting day back at my old high school. My high school years weren't my golden years, so going back I was kind of iffy about the whole thing. All in all though today was a good day.

I have to admit, one of my favorite parts is when the students question my age and my ability to be a substitute. The first two days someone asked me if I was 16, then another asked if I was 49. Yet another student asked if I had children of my own....that was an interesting one I thought. Today I offered that I was in my 20s and told them they could guess, however that I wouldn't tell them my age. Guesses ranged from 23 to 27, closer to my real age thank goodness!

Finally, I'd like to mention teachers in all of this. For the first time in my life have I truly realized how tiring their job is. While subbing is fun, I'm not sure I could handle being a teacher daily. I give all teachers major props! Also, for all of my teachers out there, I found this on Pinterest and thought it was so cool! I'm the type of person who loves to organize certain things, but rarely have the things to organize! This teacher is seriously SO organized! Check out her web-page here!

I hope everyone has an amazing week! Maybe I'll start posting more since I actually have things going on again!
