Oh what a weekend it has been! I don't even know where to begin!
The weather has been so great here in Tallahassee for the past week. I could not help myself, I just had to take advantage of it. Early Saturday morning my sister, Lindsay and I all went and laid by the pool. It was so nice to relax and not have any worries. It was so great! While I loved being in the sun, the sun didn't love me back. I ended up getting a little burnt, but hey, you have to have one burn before you can build a tan--right? After this my sister and I went to the mall so she could get some shoes. Oh what a time that was! On the way out we stopped in a store to see if they had any cute spring dresses. While we were about to leave the store, a boy straight ran up to us and told Morgan that "his friend over there in the black shirt wanted to maybe talk to you." Before he even got this out of his mouth the boy had already presented himself in front of us. Morgan and I just looked at them as she replied with a "I have a boyfriend" and walked away. This was hilarious as we had been talking earlier about how she wasn't going to put make-up on or anything. We were both wearing t-shirts and jean shorts and she had on a camo hat. As we walked away I told her they didn't care what she looked like! We headed home and then I took a nap and got dinner. That night a girl in the sorority who is a senior was having her going away party because she is leaving Wednesday for an internship in New York. A friend and I went to that and then went to TCBY to get some yummy frozen yogurt.
Today I woke up and went to church. The message was great! It was about letting God take over our lives and letting him do as he has planned for us. This message was great and really spoke to me. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in what I want to do and what others around me are doing. I need to stop and let God do what he has planned and let him take over my life. After church my sister and I went and grabbed lunch then headed home. The Daytona 500 was on today, and I think I might have a new favorite driver--Trevor Bayne. I don't like him just because he won, as many others might, but also because from what I have seen and heard about him, he is a great guy. When he won I was so happy for him and hope that he has many more wins ahead of him. After the race got done I headed to the sorority house for chapter and another meeting after. During chapter I got adopted! I was so happy and was not expecting it at all, but I am so glad that it happened! I am glad to be a part of a family again!
Tonight Kourtney and Kim Take New York comes on so I am going to watch that then possibly head to bed. I need to prepare myself for the upcoming week which consist of two tests and a bunch of homework. I hope everyone has a great week!
