Ain't It Funny

Ain't it funny how things change over time? Sitting here tonight I think back over the past 5 years and look at how much things have changed: myself, my friends, my situations and etc. My life has changed so much over the past few years. I may not like all the changes, but I know that God has a plan for my life, and his plan is way better than I could ever imagine.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Speaking of how things change, can we please talk about the mini series Hatfields & McCoys on the History channel? I remember when I was a little girl and my papaw and mamaw pulled out some news paper clippings that my great aunt had saved. According to her we are distant relatives of them. In all honesty it makes sense seeing how they are from Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia. All of my other family members have denied it for years and years though. So, after watching these movies, I've decided to do some digging to find out if we are in fact kin or not. I've been trying to use some of these online lineage things to trace back, but I don't want to pay money. So it looks like I'm going to have to wait until July when I go visit my family in Kentucky. My great uncle used to work with some people who traced peoples lineage. My dad's parents also have a lot of information about their side of the family.

If we are in fact related it will be interesting to see how much our family has changed, seeing that we don't have vendettas against anyone among other things. So, to find out if we are in fact related, check back in July to see if i've found anything out!
