How amazing is HE!?

For the past six weeks I have had the privilege of visiting and vacationing in a few small towns in Kentucky. Six weeks seems like a long time, and in fact it is. My stay was only supposed to be four weeks long, but was extended when I missed my flight by going to the wrong airport, completely NOT on purpose. This small town named Salyersville, only has a total of three stop lights, doesn't have a Wal-Mart and only three or four fast food restaurants. Though it is completely different from what I have become accustomed to in Tallahassee and my hometown, I wouldn't change a thing.

I can honestly say that I wouldn't mind moving here. The people are so different and so are many other small factors. It amazes me that they serve Pepsi more than Coke-A-Cola in restaurants and that the first of the month is always so much busier than any other time of the month. A majority of the people have multiple cars, the rolling hills make the perfect scenery, and my best friend lives here. Though this place is completely different than home, I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for my future, whether it be moving here or not.

In other news, my sister will be graduating in just 10 days from Florida State University with her Bachelors degree in Psychology. I am so proud of her! Weeks and weeks have went by, and we have been praying that she would get a job interview for an Assistantship. Interviews came, but unfortunately she never got the call back saying she had been hired. Today that all changed. We kept praying to the Lord that she would get an interview, and yesterday she got one and today she got the call that she received the job. I am so grateful to the Lord for this! It is so great to see him work in her life! My best friend Jerica has also been trying to get a job as a teacher. She has interviewed at many schools and today she finally got the call that she too had been hired! It is amazing what prayer can do and I know that she will be a great teacher!

My vacation is coming to an end and I will be headed back home in just a few short days. Though I will be sad to leave, I know that I will be back and I am looking forward to seeing my family and pets back home in Florida! Sometimes God works in mysterious ways, closing one door and opening another. We just have to believe and trust Him and everything will work out the way that He has planned it. These next few months will be hard for me as I finish up school and try to figure out what to do with my life. If I just remember these things, everything will work out for the best.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
