Good Evening

Hey everyone! So lately I have been in such a great mood. I know that it is all because of the Lord! He has been working in my life in so many ways!

I have been working out as much as possible. I took last week off because I had five tests and two or three papers. I didn't think I did well on the test, but come to find out I got a 92 on my spanish composition that I thought I literally failed, a 94 on my oral exam in spanish, I passed my CLEP exam I took last week, I got a B on my child guidance test and will end up with an A in the class, and then I got a B on my physiological psych test, but I give all glory to God! He is the reason I did so well. Oh, and today I took another CLEP test and passed it! This means I may only have to take 4 hours over the summer! WAIT WHAT!? Yes, I know it's so exciting! Tomorrow I am going to see my advisor to confirm this! Everyone please pray this is accurate!

Anyways, yes I have been working out, and I just feel so much better! I feel so much more positive! In my physiological psych class we learned how working out can make people happier, and I am here to testify as a witness!

Along with working out, I have been trying to keep up with reading the Bible daily. Last week was hectic, so I missed a few days. But, I am still ahead of schedule because I tend to read more than what I am supposed to for each day. I normally read to days of reading in just one day. What can I say, I start reading and can't stop!

Along with reading the Bible, I have started listening to a Christian radio station. It's called 88.1 The Way, but it can also be heard on 99.5. It is available for listening in South GA and North Florida. I absolutely love it! The music they play, the Bible verses, and the topics that they talk about are all so true! It makes me feel so calm and happy when I listen!

Below I have posted a YouTube video of one of my favorite songs that they play! I am currently listening to it as I post this.  I hope everyone enjoys it and has a great rest of the week!

Change

I'm not exactly sure how to start this post out, so I'm gonna just go ahead and jump in.

I've never been a fan of change, even since I was a little girl. While our house was being built my family and I stayed in a rental house, and when it came time to move to our new home I was a complete mess and was afraid their wouldn't be any food. Yes, that is a true story. Even today I am not a fan of change, and looking back over the more recent years I can say that then I wasn't either.

That being said, lately I have been wanting to change so many aspects of my life. I have felt as though things aren't as they should be and I am so unhappy with so many things about myself. I have been struggling with this for a few weeks now, and when I got to church this past Sunday morning the sermon couldn't have been any more perfect. It was on "Change."

The pastor had many great points. One thing he said that truly stuck out to me was that people don't necessarily have a problem with change, but more the process of change. After thinking about this for a while, I realized the truth behind it. If it was change that we all hate so much, then why are we so upset with things--and why was I so upset with certain parts of my life? I wanted to change, it was just the process of change that I was having trouble with.

Another thing he said is that sometimes when we go through change things will get tough, but even when this happens we should never start back-tracking, we have to keep moving forward. The preacher said that its okay to stop take a step back and rest, as long as we eventually start moving forward again. I had time to think about this too. When we start on a journey it isn't so bad. Then after a while we realize what we have gotten ourselves into. It is important to remeber that God is always with us and he is always by our sides. We can lean on him whenever.

I don't know about you, but this all made me smile. In a way it opened my eyes. Since Sunday I have started the process of changing parts of my life. I know the journey won't be an easy one, but it will all be worth it in the end!

For a week now I have been reading passages from the Bible daily. It has been great to see that God was always with people even in their hard times. All we have to do is trust in him and accept him as our Lord and Savior.

I realize this post was longer than usual, but I felt the need to get the word out about how great of a thing change can be! I hope everyonee enjoyed it!

Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
