365 Days To Go:

Today is not only a new day, but also a new year. Some of ya'll may think I'm stupid because of the title of this post, but it is true. Two thousand twelve is a leap year, meaning it has one more day in it. This is one extra day to live our wonderful lives. This year I have so much to look forward to: finishing my undergrad, spending time with family and friends, and so much more.

Many people make resolutions, and in past years I have been one of those people. This year is different. I have decided to set goals, and to achieve those goals. This is different a little because I'm not setting a promise that I probably won't keep, then once I break it everything goes to pieces. With my goals, if I slip then I can get back on track and keep moving forward. It's not an all or non aspect like most resolutions. So what about everyone else? Any resolutions?

Tomorrow is a dreaded day for me. School starts later this week and just the thought is unbearable. I will be counting down the days until spring break, and then finally summer. While this coming Spring Semester is not something I look forward to, the Spring has many events that I will welcome. Some of these are my birthday, spring break, and Easter. It's a good way to start the new year off.

Well, I'm going to go spend time with my family. I hope everyone had a great first day of the new year!

Looking Back:

Happy New Years Eve everyone! Before I start, I would like to wish everyone a fun filled, safe night! Looking back, I can't believe it is already New Years Eve. The past year has brought many successes and many failures. It has brought good and bad, but the good far outweigh the bad. I have accomplished so much in school, have made so many new friends, and have had been very blessed. Two thousand and eleven was a great year, and unlike many others, I will hate to see it go. However, I am welcoming two thousand and twelve with open arms and everything that is in store. I know the majority of people are busy getting ready for the night, so I will keep this post short. Please remember to be safe, and of course have fun! Bring on 2012!

Small Town Lovin':

I hope everyone has had a magnificent day so far. I have had such an amazing break and I'm savoring every second of it. Over break I went to a small town in Kentucky and absolutely loved it. I got about three times a year and I dread the trip back to Florida so much more every trip. Where I come from is a small town from Florida, and I like it, but going back to Tallahassee is a different story.

There's something about a small town that makes it feel like home. I love the country and everything that goes with it. Earlier I went out with my sister and some friends from high school, and in a little bit I am going to eat with some other friends. I love seeing them and catching up. It makes me laugh though, whenever I go out back home, I feel like I have to whisper because you never know who is around and may hear what is being said. Honestly though, I love it.

In a few days it will be a new year, and I am already planning my summer, well trying to. Although I will be taking classes, I will do everything possible to make a trip or two back up to Kentucky. The weather today in Florida was in the 80s. This made it extremely hard for me to keep my focus on the upcoming months.

Alright, this is all for now. I have to go get ready for a night out in a small town.

XOXO,
Ashley

New and Improved:

Hey ya'll! So, my sister Morgan discovered a new way to make our blogs so much prettier! I hope everyone likes their new make-overs. We are going to try to start updating daily like we did before. Let's hope that we have some good stories for everyone out there who reads these things.

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. My family went to Kentucky. I personally had a blast. Coming home made me excited for summer and the end of next fall. I hope to graduate then and move back to Kentucky next January. This seems like forever away, but I know it is truly right around the corner.

Speaking of which, is everyone excited for the new year? It is hard for me to believe that another year has come and passed. God has blessed me with so much and I have so much to be thankful for.

On that note, I am going to get off of here and find something to do. I wish everyone a safe and pleasant night.

XOXO,
Ashley
